This year’s Infinity Award recognizes Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger for his early leadership role in securing landmark funding in the area of stem cell research, piloting an initiative to direct $3 billion in government funds to the field. In addition, the Infinity Award recognizes Gov. Schwarzenegger’s lifetime of accomplishments as a champion bodybuilder, Hollywood action hero, successful businessman, environmentalist, philanthropist, best-selling author, and California’s 38th Governor. He is also the founder of the non-profit organization R20: Regions of Climate Action and the USC Schwarzenegger Institute for State and Global Policy, which is devoted to seeking bipartisan solutions to public policy issues.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose personal commitment to lifelong fitness has helped contribute to his array of professional accomplishments, is a champion of promoting and supporting sports, health and fitness programs for America and the world's youth. He was America's most successful Chairman of the President’s Council on Physical Fitness & Sports, Founder of the Inner City Games and After-School All-Stars charity, to give a venue for kids to engage in fitness activities after school hours, and strong long time supporter of freedom of healthcare, freedom of choice and the wide array of healthcare approaches in anti-aging, regenerative, functional, alternative, sports and nutritional medicine.

Dr. Robert Goldman, A4M Chairman (www.DrBobGoldman.com) states that: “I have been honored to know Arnold as a close friend for over 30 years and there is nothing he cannot achieve and his contributions to health, fitness and freedom of healthcare choice are unparalleled.” Adds Dr. Ronald Klatz, A4M President: “Governor Schwarzenegger sees the future and makes it happen, just like we did in founding the world’s leading anti-aging and regenerative medicine education programs, medical society and industry 22 years ago.”

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has always been a leader and early adopter in all these aspects. A leader is supposed to see things for what they can be, not just accept things as they are. By that measure, Governor Schwarzenegger showed great leadership, and is a large reason why health care reform is working in California. With BCC Research reporting that the global market for ant-aging products and services is estimated at $261.9 billion in 2013, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 5.7%. to stand at a projected $345.8 billion by 2018, contributions to the stem cell, regenerative and anti-aging medical fields such as those advanced by Gov. Schwarzenegger make a tangible and lasting impact.
