70% Of Produce Found To Be Contaminated With Pesticides

Despite the pesticide and herbicide producers claiming agricultural chemicals disappear after being sprayed on crops research from the Environmental Working Group has found 70% of fresh produce within the USA is contaminated with pesticide chemicals.

Pesticide chemicals are toxic to life, otherwise they would not kill the living organisms that threaten crops, there is no such thing as a non-toxic synthetic pesticide. This new study by EWG has found that 92% of grocery store kale contains 2 or more pesticides.

The 2019 Shopper’s Guide to Pesticides in Produce report relied on USDA data which may be skewed in favor of the pesticide producers, meaning the severity of this issue may be worse than what is being reported.  Even if you take the USDA data as being accurate it still means Americans are eating toxic poisons every day while producers are profiting from sale of the toxic products, which much like smoking can cause cancer and death.

60% of US kale was found to test positive for Dacthal DCPA which is a cancer causing chemical that has been banned for a decade in the EU, some kale samples contained 18 different pesticides. Spinach and strawberries were also found to be saturated with pesticide chemicals; while avocados and pineapples had the lowest concentrations.

It would seem as if the EPA is corrupt and have sold out to the pesticide industry and now appears to be propesticide across the board. “90% of Americans have detectable pesticide levels in their blood and urine.” and “The EPA is currently working to protect a toxic chemical that causes birth defects.” according to The Guardian, who go on to explain:

“The Environmental Protection Agency sets rules for how pesticides are used, but those rules do not necessarily prevent cumulative exposure in a person’s diet. The agency is fighting a court order to ban chlorpyrifos, a pesticide that is associated with development disabilities in children.

“USDA’s tests found a total of 225 different pesticides and pesticide breakdown products on popular fruits and vegetables Americans eat every day. Before testing, all produce was thoroughly washed and peeled, just as consumers would prepare food at home, showing that simple washing does not remove all pesticides.”

According to the Health Ranger Store consumers have been mislead to believe washing or peeling produce can remove these pesticide chemicals. This is actually not true, while it can remove some on the outside, in reality pesticides are now grown into produce and can be found in the cells of food. At their labs the entire food item is ground up and pesticides are extracted from all the cells at the same time, then using multiple mass spec instruments they conduct analytical testing of heavy metals, microbiology, glyphosate and a number of agricultural chemical pesticide testing.

The American food supply has become toxic. This is the exact reason why it is recommended to go organic and get your supplements and foods from trusted sources that conduct laboratory testing.
