Nail infection can often be embarrassing and even disgusting. Whether you are an open-shoes person or closed ones, nail infection is nothing anyone wants to withstand. With a fungal nail eliminator, you may be able to kiss this problem goodbye.

There are pharmaceutical remedies to this problem, so why should you settle for home remedies instead? Well, the truth is that home remedies can be much safer compared to their counterparts. Truthful speaking, medical remedies can be quite sickening (literally speaking) with diverse side effects such as stomach upsets, rashes, loss of taste, itching, headaches, light-headed and many more. Unfortunately, that’s not where the bad news ends because even after you have gone through all these, there is still a chance that the infection may come back. Why would you (why would anyone) want to go through this? Exactly, no one! Antifungal essential oils have come to help change the narrative.

Olive Leaf Extract

By now, you know that olive leaf is one of the most versatile plants there is. Research indicates that olive leaf contains a certain product-Oleuropein. This ingredient is antifungal and can boost your immune system (two birds with one stone right?) You can either apply it directly on your nails or take it in its capsule form, the option is entirely yours.

Apply directly on the nail twice daily.

Vinegar

There is evidence that vinegar also contains antifungal properties. Mixed with some water, you can soak your feet in the mixture for less than 30 minutes or so, and in a few days, your nails will be better and brighter.

Soak your feet in vinegar and water for 20 minutes daily.

Tea Tree Oil Foot Soak

Tea tree oil is a natural treatment method for fungal nails. This salve is known for its beneficial uses that range from acne, athletes foot, fungal nails, and many skin conditions. Tea tree oil foot soak is exactly what you need to get rid of your ugly looking nail discoloration. Does it work effectively? Anecdotal evidence suggests that many people have benefited from using the formula consistently and regularly.

Apply tea tree on the infected nail twice daily.

Garlic

Garlic is as natural as they come, it has antifungal properties that aid in the treatment of fungal nail. Using crushed garlic-place them on the infected nail for about half an hour and voila! It will be gone in no time.

Place crushed cloves on the nail twice a week.

CBD Oil

Apart from the myriad of health benefits, one can get from CBD oil, its antifungal properties are among the most important. After a few doses, you will notice the difference with the affected nail. You can use it topically or swallow it depending on your preference.

Apply a few drops on the affected nail every day.

Baking Soda

Baking soda is the most common product used for nail fungus eradication. With its antifungal properties, you can expect results in a few days. Similarly to a foot repair serum, baking soda works effectively and thoroughly with consistency.

Mix water and baking soda and pour the paste on the said nail. You can also do a foot soak.

Cornmeal

Yes, that is correct, cornmeal may have some antifungal properties that some have claimed to experience in their quest to find a solution for their foot fungus. Although there isn’t any scientific evidence, the anecdotal proof available is enough.

Mix cornmeal with hot water and mix it into a paste. Wait until the paste cools and deep your feet inside. Do this twice a week for one hour.

Oregano Oil

Oregano oil has also proven to have antifungal properties that are useful in the reduction of foot fungus. The presence of a compound called thymol in Oregano oil is the one responsible for the beneficial effects.

Place the oil, two to three drops on the nail fungus every day of the week.

These home remedies have been proven to work effectively and with little to no side effects. Consistency in using the antifungal essential oils is the key.
