Wired follows up on the recent advance in therapeutic cloning technology with an interview with Brian Alexander, author of Rapture: How Biotech Became the New Religion. As always, Brian Alexander provides a sane, balanced look at both the science and the (sadly intrusive) politics. The digest version of the article would be that yes, this is a big step forward in the reliability and capability of therapeutic cloning technology, but no, he doesn't think that it will result in any more of a political tempest than we are already experiencing.
