The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) has created an action alert link making it easy to comment.

Here is the AANP action alert that is out regarding compounded glutathione.

The FDA/PCAC request for comment docket on compounded glutathione is open until tomorrow, May 24th, for comment.

According to Healthline, it is a powerful antioxidant produced in cells. It’s comprised largely of three amino acids: glutamine, glycine, and cysteine. Levels within the body may be reduced by a number of factors, including poor nutrition, environmental toxins, and stress. Its levels also decline with age. Boosting glutathione levels may provide a number of health benefits including but not limited to helping to reduce oxidative stress, improve psoriasis, improve insulin resistance in older people, reducing cell damage in alcoholic and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, increasing mobility for those with peripheral artery disease, reduces symptoms of Parkinson’s disease, helps with autoimmune disease, may help reduce oxidative damage in children with autism, may help reduce the impact of uncontrolled diabetes and it may also help reduce respiratory disease symptoms, among other uses.
