Calico partners with Ancestry.com.
Calico (California Life Company), incubated by Google in 2013, has partnered with Ancestry.com, the largest family tree website. This arrangement enables Calico to access DNA data to look for genetic patterns of longevity. It is speculated that Calico will commercialize the medical data, much like the arrangement for Parkinson’s disease forged between 23andMe and Genetech.
