Resveratrol has become a very hot topic recently, articles about it have increased significantly since its anti-cancer properties were discovered since 1997 however there have been very few clinical trials so far. Supplements are available with resveratrol at 100-150 times the amount of grape skin extract than found in red wine however it is unclear whether the benefit lies in taking large amounts over a short period of time or smaller doses over longer periods. Dr Smoliga keeps us up to date with the current thinking.
