using clomiphene in male with prior pulmonary embolism

By carmassi3 at Jan. 8, 2015, 9:26 p.m., 21940 hits

49 y/o male had pulmonary embolism 3 years ago. Hematology evaluation did not reveal etiology or any clotting disorder. He has had no recurrence and is not on any anticoagulation therapy. He has very low testosterone and symptoms to go with it. I would not give him testosterone (especially in light of the recent venous clotting information) but what about clomiphene? Does anyone have any opinions or edxperience using this is someone with a prior PE?
Thank you
