Shocking discovery of factors that cause acne and certain cancers may prolong life!

by Nick Delgado PhD, ABAAHP, Author Annihilate Acne Now, Naturally

There are several known causes of acne. Most telling of this is the study of people on certain islands in the South Pacific who are completely free of acne.

The people on the island of Kitava in the South Pacific have no signs of acne, while their blood relatives eating a western-type diet present with all five classifications of acne: comedones (open or closed), papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. There are three environmental and genetic factors that affect acne: overstimulation of growth factors, androgens affected by estrogen levels, and the increase of TOR enzyme from high insulin.

Acne can be prevented or reduced by following a Simply Healthy Diet higher in vegetables and fruit and free of dairy and meats instead using plant-based proteins, combined with supplements that are concentrated in specific phytochemical extracts. These extracts have been shown to suppress TOR and reduce hormone imbalances.

Let’s first address the hormonal disruptors and how to achieve hormonal harmony and balance.

The effects of oestrogen and other hormones

A woman or a man can have an imbalance between nearly 40 different types of estrogens as tested in the urine. However, most doctors measure only three types of estrogen in the blood.

But an expert in natural hormonal balance will also know to check sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG is measured in our female or male quick check blood panel). This can be restored to optimum levels by making good dietary choices, particularly consuming high volumes of cruciferous vegetables. Certain supplemental extracts and foods will increase SHBG enough so this binding protein can attach to any androgens which are in excess of the body’s needs to improve the balance and harmony between hormones.

By no coincidence, SHBG is also elevated by taking birth control pills, which is why so many doctors and patients have assumed this was the only way to reduce acne. The hormones in many birth control pills will work in many women to reduce acne, yet at a high cost of side effects and with associated risks. Young people are also given potent drugs that suppress DHT levels which also have potential side effects. Let’s look at safer, more elegant ways to reduce acne without the long term risks of cancer, blood clots, or birth defects in those planning to have a family.

An expert in hormonal intervention will also know to check hormone metabolites in the urine, because at least five of these critical estrogens (16aOHE etc.) and five different androgens exert far more damaging effects on the female (and male) body than was previously recognized. It wasn’t until studies, including work from Harvard researchers, were published between 2012 to 2015 that the correlation becomes known.

If a woman has too much of these powerful estrogen metabolites, and not enough good, weaker natural estrogens (estriol, 2OHE), the dominance effect alters the way androgens work in the body. Once we have identified the individual’s ratios of good to bad estrogens and androgen levels, as well as cortisol levels, we can decide on the best dose of these targeted supplements plus the required dietary support and lifestyle intervention.

Cruciferous vegetables are an integral part of preventing acne

The role diet plays

Insulin (measured in the blood), pushes sugar into the cells for energy and is controlled by cortisol. That’s why stress plays a role in acne too. We know insulin levels can be improved by stress management with LFC glasses, proper food selection, and the Simply Healthy diet which is rich in polyphenols and thus prevents insulin resistance. The Anti-Acne Diet is based on our Simply Healthy plan and focused on foods the Kitavan people enjoy such as tubers (yams, sweet potato, yucca, fruit, and coconut). The entirety of the coconut meat can be consumed and even blended with the coconut water for a healthy smoothie. The coconut oil should not be taken internally but can be rubbed onto the skin for an emollient effect.

Algae-rich omega fatty acids and omegas decrease IGF-1 levels and prevent hyperkeratinization of sebaceous follicles, thereby fighting acne. Several studies conducted to date around the world have shown a direct link between a high consumption of omega-3 fats and a low incidence of acne.

Perhaps acne in many people is not just a physiological hormonal phenomenon of puberty, but rather a visible indicator of overstimulation by dairy, junk food, meat, and egg products which all work together against us by raising the enzyme TOR, contributing to acne and obesity.

Harmful elements

Back in 2005 it was found that TOR is inhibited by the medication Rapamycin. This drug, used for kidney transplant patients, was discovered by accident to also completely reverse a type of skin cancer called Kaposi’s sarcoma within three months.

It is best to avoid milk and meat for two reasons: both these categories of food release massive amounts of harmful types of estrogens into the human food chain.

The second reason to avoid meat, chicken, fish, eggs, and dairy is that they contain extremely high levels of the amino acid leucine. This is known to increase TOR, the enzyme that forces abnormal rapid growth of tissues leading directly to skin disorders including acne. The combination of these two powerful disruptors of hormonal and tissue growth will worsen acne and increase the risk of cancer.

Enzyme inhibitors

Fortunately, plant-derived inhibitors found in Delgado Protocol supplements are equal to eating over two pounds of raw vegetables a day. And by selecting specific foods this combination can render this dangerous TOR enzyme harmless, while also allowing for hormonal balance.

These “Good Guy” enzyme inhibitors are found in Estro Block and DHT Block (extracts from broccoli called DIM and I3C); LivDtox also has turmeric to combat TOR and the consequent risk of cancer.

Include in your diet healthy amounts of grapes, onions, strawberries, blueberries, mangos, green tea and the skin of cucumbers to receive additional protection from acne and cancer.

Eating more vegetables and fruit in place of animal products will also reduce your calorie intake, further reducing TOR, acne and cancer. According to researchers at Johns Hopkins, acne may be a warning sign of future risk of breast cancer or prostate cancer.

Helpful supplements

Researchers also agree that gut health is critical to improving the immune system in the battle against acne and cancer. Include Slim Blend Protein mixed into your smoothie as a meal replacement. Slim Blend Pro provides organic whole food nutrients, probiotics, omega fatty acids, and fiber to prevent toxins from sitting in the intestines for too long. This combined choice of a plant based protein, rich in nutrients, and high in fiber supports gut health and lowers the levels of the TOR enzyme which is associated with acne and cancer.

Early intervention with a Simply Healthy Diet and supplementing with Estro Block, DHT Block, LivDTox, and Stay Young and ingredients in Lean N Fit all may help combat the risk of prostate cancer and other common cancers.

Supplements with concentrated cruciferous vegetable phytochemicals such as Estro Block and DHT Block which are rich in polyphenols when taken at sufficient dosages can be used to suppress TOR. This has the potential to prevent acne and other more serious diseases such as obesity, Type 2 diabetes, cancer, and Alzheimer’s.

Of course while these supplements may put out the "fire of inflammation and acne,” you must also be smart to stop fueling the fire by following a Simply Healthy Diet higher in vegetables and fruit and free of dairy and meats, instead using plant-based proteins. All recipes with plant proteins in my book “Simply Healthy” are low in leucine, allowing TOR to decrease to safe levels in your body naturally.

Phytochemicals have lots of benefits and can be found in a range of foods

Other advantages to reducing TOR

Many researchers also believe this reduction in TOR will also slow the aging process by decreasing the rate of stimulation of organs and all chromosome replications. A long term study on the diabetic drug Metformin also showed evidence of reducing inflammation through-out the body and suppressing pro-growth signals that may contribute to cancer.

Metformin was originally derived from the natural French lilac botanical Gallega Officianalis. Metformin has a similar action to the reduction of the detrimental amino acid leucine as discussed in my book “Annihilate Acne Now, Naturally”, and calorie restriction, increasing levels of AMPK. This enzyme is associated with stress defense and longevity, but opting for one of the latter two methods means avoiding the side effects associated with the drug.

The amino acid leucine can be reduced by Metformin and a healthy diet
