Exercise - resistance - greatly stimulates HGH, and with this lowers (70 to 90%) heart disease, diabetes, depression.,others

Recently Mayo clinic researchers proposed that a lack of exercise should be defined as a medical problem; no other single factor has been shown to be more effective in preventing heart disease, diabetes, and even depression, cancer, others.
The reason: resistance exercise (much more than aerobic) stimulates HGH release:

John Greist, MD, Wisconsin U. showed - - as long as 13 years ago - - that the simplest exercise program recommended by ACSM (Americam College of Sports Medicine, 3x per week, 30 minutes each, heart rate in correct range) brings depression scores (SCL-90) back into normal ranges within 2 weeks.
The most perfect exercise program - - Circuit Training, Dr. Paul Ward, Godfather - - has two components to it; aerobic and resistance. Frequently changing back and forth between the two - - practiced by literally every sports team - - gives optimum results, and maximum HGH release.
Include the “1RM” concept - - just leaning, or building muscle, depending on how you do the resistance exercise - - and you are in charge of building the body you want, AND AT ANY AGE, 80 or above!
Dr. Jack Wilmore of Texas University states: “The bottom line is that Circuit Training programs continue to be effective beyond wildest expectations in producing changes in aerobic fitness, strength, lean body mass and very positive changes in body composition.“
