“Treating the symptoms of Parkinson's is only half the battle,” said
Perlmutter. “We now need to focus on how we can slow or even arrest
the decline in brain function associated with this disease.”
David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, ABIHM is a frequent lecturer at symposia
sponsored by such medical institutions as Columbia University, Scripps
Institute, and Harvard University. He was awarded the 2002 Linus
Pauling Award for his pioneering work in innovative approaches to
neurological disorders, and received the 2002 Denham Harmon Award for
his work in advancing the understanding of free radical biochemistry
and mitochondrial dysfunction in neurological diseases.
