An article from Wired summarizes some of the recent moves towards public funding for stem cell research. Opponents of embryonic stem cell research appear to be sticking with cheap rhetorical tricks, suggesting that since there has been little progress in this field, it should be banned. This lack of progress, however, is entirely due to existing restrictions and uncertainty over far worse proposed legislation.
