CJC-1295 is a synthetic GHRH analog that effectively increases growth hormone secretion and IGF-1 levels without affecting GH pulsatility. Often combined with Ipamorelin, it offers honed specificity as a GHRH without the side effects associated with other peptides in its class. 

Its benefits may include increased muscle growth, bone density, immune function, cognition, and collagen production. CJC-1295 may also promote slow-wave deep sleep, which is crucial for muscle growth and memory retention. However, it’s important to note that CJC-1295 is currently included in the FDA ban and restricted until further notice.

As of this writing, the FDA ban affects two peptides discussed in this article: BPC-157 and CJC-1295. However, regulations are in flux, and they are likely to change with the emergence of more safety-related data.

Some peptides, like Sermorelin, remain FDA-approved for specific uses but are commonly used off-label for anti-aging purposes.

International regulations vary, with some countries allowing broader use of peptides in clinical practice. Critical considerations for practitioners, regardless of geographical location, include:

  • Obtaining necessary licenses.
  • Sourcing peptides from reputable manufacturers.
  • Keeping detailed records of peptide use.
