Journalist Ronald Bailey will be speaking at TransVision 2004 later this week, alongside many other luminaries. A shorter version of his remarks is at Reason Online, touching on longevity, serious attempts to extend the healthy human life span, and the bioethicists who oppose these projects. "Biomedical researchers understand more with each passing year about the processes that cause the increasing physical and mental debilities that we define as aging.
