The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine Enters
Third Decade of Educational Service
As the largest event of its kind in the arena of advanced preventative medicine, The Winter Session of the 20th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging & Regenerative Biomedical Technologies drew 3,000 delegates and corporate leaders, to a world renowned educational program featuring over 100 speakers who presented the latest scientific data on advanced preventive medical diagnostics and therapeutics, and emerging biomedical technologies
Ronald Klatz, MD, DO Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP
Opening the General Session, Ronald Klatz, MD, DO, shared reflections and projections of the future of medicine from the anti-aging perspective. Continuing Opening Remarks, Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP, highlighted the global reach of the A4M’s co-sponsored educational programs in anti-aging/regenerative medicine

Explains Ronald Klatz, MD, DO, A4M President: ”The physicians and scientists involved in anti-aging science have been the first to embrace innovative medical discoveries and technological advancements that have subsequently been mainstreamed. At The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M)’s World Congresses held continuously since 1993, over 100,000 physicians, health practitioners, and scientists have been among the first to learn of revolutionary life-enhancing, life-extending discoveries such as: the hormone melatonin as a cancer-fighting agent; the importance of growth hormone in adulthood; the identification of homocysteine as a marker for heart disease; the role of Vitamin D beyond bone health; advanced biomedical technologies including nanotechnology, DNA on a chip, and brain resuscitation; regenerative medical therapeutics such as stem cell therapies; and much more.”

Adds Robert Goldman, MD, PhD, DO, FAASP, A4M Chairman: “Since its founding in 1992, the A4M has been one of the fastest growing medical societies in the world, starting with just twelve doctors to become an international, member-based professional scientific medical society of 26,000-plus physicians, health practitioners, and scientists. Now in its third decade of educational service, the A4M’s scientific educational programs have trained over 100,000 medical professionals, and the organization’s education and advocacy initiatives have expanded the availability of advanced biotechnologies and leading-edge preventive healthcare throughout the world.”

The Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging & Regenerative Biomedical Technologies is recognized around the world for the high caliber of speakers, delegates, and international government officials in attendance. Over 100 speakers, many of whom are world-renowned in their area of specialization, spoke on a broad array of topics in aging intervention. Many of the subjects showcased innovations with vast potential to reshape advanced preventative medicine in this next decade, namely:
Joseph Maroon, MD Michael A. Schmidt, PhD
Joseph Maroon, MD, Vice-Chairman of Neurological Surgery and Professor at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine (USA), presented breakthroughs in the electro-modulation of the central nervous system Michael A. Schmidt, PhD, former NASA researcher, shared evidence regarding the clinical applications of the Frontiers of Personalized Medicine
Abraham Morgentaler, MD Kathleen Collins, PhD
Abraham Morgentaler, MD, Associate Clinical Profession at Harvard Medical School (USA), shared a Conceptual Revolution for the approach to Testosterone and Prostate Cancer Kathleen Collins, PhD, Professor at University of California/Berkeley (USA), presented evidence for telomere modulation as a potential clinical anti-aging strategy
Terry Grossman, MD Cheolmin Kim, MD, PhD
Terry Grossman, MD, Director of Grssman Medical Center (USA), presented evidence for the Top Ten Life Extension Drugs and Nutrients Cheolmin Kim, MD, PhD, Affiliate Professor at Pusan National University (Korea), shared insights on the Maintenance of Muscle Function via Slowing Sarcopenia
The A4M Winter 2012 Congress commemorated the Platinum Anniversary of the founding of The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the world’s largest professional medical society dedicated to advancing research and clinical pursuits that enhance the quality, and extend the quantity, of the human lifespan.
Encyclopedia At this event, the A4M debuted its Encyclopedia of Clinical Anti-Aging Medicine & Regenerative Biomedical Technologies. Comprised of the textbook containing 33 chapters and standing at 822 pages, plus Limited Commemorative Edition access to an Online Library of pages of peer-reviewed articles and resources, the Encyclopedia is the world’s most comprehensive textbook on the subject of anti-aging and regenerative medicine and definitive reference that covers the past twenty years of progress in the new field of prevention, anti-aging, functional medicine, nutritional science, and regenerative biomedical technologies.
