Autism and Electro-magnetic Radiation Exposure - a possible factor in the alarming rise?

As you know, there is concern about the rising levels of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

A few decades ago autism struck 1 in 10,000 children.

It affected 1 in every 150, according to a study released in February 2007 by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

In October 2009, a government study estimated that the prevalence is more likely about 1 in every 91 children.

Today CDC reports it is 1 in 88.

What could it be in 2025?

Could the new environmental toxin of electro-pollution be one of the new hidden factors?

There are many symptoms connected with EMR exposure including difficulty sleeping, headaches, dizziness, eye pain, cardiovascular reactions, and many more.

Medical researchers also suggest an extensive range of brain and nervous system-related conditions.

These include: learning disabilities, ADD and ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome and the Autism Spectrum Disorders, MS, ALS, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease.

A 2003 published study by neurologist Professor Salford, MD suggests an EMR and Alzheimer’s link, “with 4 billion cell phone users, if microwave radiation turns out to be a causative factor what will we do?” His research demonstrated that cell phone radiation causes leakage of the brain's blood-brain barrier.

Some years ago, a study reported a link between electrical occupations and neuro-degenerative disease including ALS (Suavity et al, 1998). They were otherwise healthy men in their 50’s and 60’s – all worked in the computer industry. If there is a connection, what impact could this have on the digital generation?

The medical pioneer, Dietrich Klinghardt MD, PhD, is a physician who believes that the increase in autism is partially connected to the proliferation of EMR and our increasingly toxic environment.

He offered this sobering prediction at our A4M presentation last December, “By 2025 we may have no neuro-typical children born.”

In his ground-breaking work, Dr. Klinghardt is working on how to recognize and treat the effects of toxic EMR on the genes of a developing fetus.

The hope is to prevent neurological and other problems from developing in the child.

Even if the evidence of EMR as a causative factor becomes clear, it is going to be a challenge to get pregnant women to reduce their exposure, or even if their are willing to forego some of the convenience of their wireless devices - how will we keep them safe from the ‘second-hand’ exposure which surrounds us all.

In a recent interview, Dr. Klinghardt told me of a small study he conducted:

“In 10 of our autistic children we measured the EMR exposure of the mother in the location where she was sleeping before giving birth to the child – who later on would be diagnosed as autistic. We measured body voltage and microwave exposure from ambient background cell phone radiation. The results clearly showed significantly increased levels of EMF exposure in the affected mothers versus the control group.”

There is some good news; an environmental consultant who assists families with autism, who also contributed to my book, Wireless Radiation Rescue, reported these children improve significantly when in a low EMR environment.

This is not the whole answer we need, but Dr Klinghardt and other contributors offer our easy-to-implement risk reduction plan. There are safer-tech solutions. We can keep connected in this digital age without the high risks.
