Human cells cloned: babies next?

But researchers behind the experiment issued a warning that their work could advance efforts to clone babies and urged governments worldwide to outlaw reproductive cloning.

But researchers behind the experiment issued a warning that their work could advance efforts to clone babies and urged governments worldwide to outlaw reproductive cloning. Religious and pro-life groups reacted with dismay to the development. The team of South Korean researchers created 30 cloned embryos using tissue and eggs donated by women and grew them in a laboratory for five or six days.
