To the press, it's not real medicine unless it's in a pill. The first real anti-aging treatments will more likely focus on stem cell and regenerative medicine rather than compounds you can swallow. It's worth noting the problems that exist due to the historical association of life extension and "anti-aging" with quacks and fraudsters: something that, unfortunately, still continues today.
